Starting to Blog

This will be my first time doing this and hopefully this will keep family updated on the Leavitts household.

I have to say first that last week was draining, emotional and physically. Brad took off on a hunting adventure (which he was looking to shoot a deer and an elk). Which meant I was left to run the household by myself. Which usually I am up and do well with the challenge. However, this week I was already falling about on Monday.

So much was on the schedule this week and I was seriously doubting if I could do it all. By the end of the week I noticed that I did accomplish everything and did it well. I was very proud of myself and proud that nobody was hurt in the process, :-) because at some points I was ready to freak out!!!

Brad surprised me by coming home early with no trophies (which was probably for the best because no one eats the meat here). I have to take that back, we eat the jerky. As he walked in I was waling out to go on a movie date with my older sister. Which was definitely needed.  We went and watched the chic flick Life as we know it.  It was a great movie, we were able to laugh and have a good time together. Love hanging with my sisters!!!

Then sunday came and my goal was to head to Walmart and pick up some Oooooops all berries. This is my all time favorite cereal and had to have it. I have not seen it in a store since college and had to grab it up before it was all gone. I accomplished my goal and was am happy that the weekend is over. Because now I am refreshed and ready to tackle on the new tasks that will be set before me.

PS: My condolence to Lois Rochatka's family (she pasted away on 10/8/10). She was a great lady. She touched the lives of many and for that she made me a better person!!

Also, my heart goes out to my co-worker who also lost her son on friday. That is one of my fears is for my child to pass away before I do. My heart breaks for her and the pain she must be feeling.

There is a sacredness in tears.
They are not the mark of weakness,
but of power.
They speak more eloquently
than 10,000 tongues.
They are the messengers
of overwhelming grief,
of deep contrition,
and of unspeakable love.
